You use leftover, diced beef in this tasty shepherd's pie variation.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1 cup diced cooked beef
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups of milk or beef stock
- 1/2 cup diced cooked carrots
- Mashed Potatoes, enough for 4 to 6 servings
Preparation:
Brown onions, peppers, celery in oil.Add beef and continue browning.
Add remaining ingredients and heat thoroughly.
Pour into a shallow greased baking dish. Cover with mashed potatoes and bake in a hot oven (400 degrees) for approximately 15-25 minutes till brown.
